Experimental Vase
Wheel-thrown with a toasted stoneware - deeper in colour and a gorgeous speckled finish, this piece has added 3D elements of extruded ‘flower’ shaped clay that you may have seen before as mug handles or waste knots.
I’ve left the clay as a raw finish and painted the wiggles electric blue, before dunking the piece in transparent glaze so that it’s completely watertight/food-safe - perfect for fresh flowers.
